Equipment Needed For Softball
Confused about what your child will need for softball?
If your daughter is new to the league or has grown out of her current equipment, then we may be able to help you. Take a look below at some helpful links, equipment charts, or general information.
Basic equipment needed for T-ball:
- Glove (see chart below)
- Cleats
- Batting Helmet
- Softball T-Ball Bat (not necessary, league provides each team with a couple of bats)
- Fielders mask
Basic equipment needed for other divisions:
- Glove (see chart below)
- Cleats
- Batting Helmet w/ Facemask
- ASA approved fast pitch bat (not necessary, league provides each team with a couple of bats)
The players will obviously need someway to transport this equipment. Bat bags sold at sporting goods stores can usually hold all of their equipment.
How to select a softball glove:
Below is a generalilzed chart to help select a softball glove based on your childs age and position:
